Meet the Team

Lisa Durish, BS, MT (ASCP)
Director of Software Product Development

 

During her 20-year career as a Medical Technologist, Lisa has worked in a variety of hospital laboratory settings, including as a Point of Care Coordinator in a large university hospital environment and in a multi-facility health system.  Over her career, Lisa worked at BonSecours HealthPartners Laboratory, Medical College of Virginia Hospital, and CJW Medical Center -- all in the Richmond, Virginia area.  After eight years as a sales representative for the Advanced Care Group of J&J/LifeScan, Lisa leveraged her combined clinical and industry expertise to serve as a CLIA Surveyor for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  She has been an active member of the VA POCC group since its inception in 2001, has served on the VA POCC Board in the capacities of President, President-Elect, and Treasurer, and is also an active member of the CPOCT Division of AACC, serving on the AfterGlow Committee.   

Lisa graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a B.S. in Medical Technology and then went on to complete her Medical Technology internship at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan.  

She enjoys international traveling and has visited Australia, South Korea, Japan, and Guam.  Closer to home, Lisa frequents the beaches of North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

 

Susie Scoggins, MT (ASCP)
Manager, Clinical Product Development

 

Susie has over thirty years of experience working in the clinical laboratory setting. She has worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, the Samaritan Institute of Reproductive Medicine in Phoenix, the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix as a Point of Care Coordinator and Test Development specialist, and most recently as a POCC at Banner Healthcare in Tucson.  Susie has participated as a member of inspection teams for College of American Pathologists, Joint Commission, and COLA and has served on the Mayo Clinic Department of Laboratory Medicine Quality Improvement Committee.  At Mayo Clinic, she collaborated with staff to validate new instruments, new assays on existing instruments, reference ranges, analyte stability and analytical measuring ranges.

Susie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology at Arizona State University. 

She is a native of Arizona, has been married for 23 years, and has three dogs and four horses. She and her husband enjoy snow skiing and travel when they can get away.

 

Rick Lebo, BS MT(ASCP)
Senior Product Specialist

 

Rick brings over thirty years experience in clinical chemistry and point of care testing, serving key roles in both hospital and industry.  During his 20 years of service at GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER, Danville, PA, Rick was on the front lines of Point of Care Testing and helped establish many of the clinical practices and standards that underpin the industry today.  Rick was a member of the lead team for the Connectivity Industrial Consortium (CIC) and, as the only Point of Care Coordinator on the team, he represented end-user needs in the standards that were created.  Rick brought his passion for near patient testing to J&J/LifeScan where he had progressive roles leading up to Manager of Customer Field Technical Services, with responsibility for hospital and consumer glucose monitoring products in Eastern US and Canada.  He is an active member of the CPOCT Division of AACC, serving on the POCC Forum and AfterGlow Committees.  He is also a co-founder and past President of KEYPOCC, the Keystone Point-of-Care Coordinators group. 

Rick has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bloomsburg State University, and a Medical Technology Certificate from Geisinger Medical Center Danville, Pennsylvania.

He and his family reside in a historic home in Delaware with their 7 great danes.

 

William R. Donohue, MS
President & CEO

 

The founding of CarePoint Solutions is the culmination of a 30-year diagnostic career for Bill, and is his fourth successful company launch in the diagnostics QC market.  Throughout his career, Bill has conceived and commercialized many of the innovative and groundbreaking quality control products that have become standards for critical care and point-of-care testing.  

Prior to starting CarePoint, Bill was President of Eurotrol US, where he launched the US division and commercialized several innovative POC QC products including GAS-ISE-HCT and Hypoxic QC™.  As founder and President of AccuTest Proficiency Testing Services, a federally approved provider to over 2000 diagnostic laboratories across the US, he championed DigitalPT®, a breakthrough web-based informatics platform.  As a Vice President of Bionostics, Bill was responsible for the launch of the RNA Medical Division and is credited with bringing a variety of new control products to the hospital market.  

Bill started out his career as a certified EMT and was an Emergency Room Corpsman at Cape Cod Hospital.  He earned a Biology BS degree from Boston College and a Masters of Human Physiology from the Georgetown University School of Medicine.  Bill has attended 32 consecutive AACC Annual meetings!

Mr. Donohue has four children, loves to sail his Hobie Cat in the summer and shred the slopes on a snowboard in the winter.
